After years of suffering under her abusive husband, Sarah decides to no longer take any humiliation or battery – and kills him. For that, her father-in-law Marshal Speakes sentences her to the Gallows. She escapes during a failed hold-up on the coach, but Jack Cooper manages to snatch away the transported $2500 from her. They soon find they’re both being pursued by Speakes, who is not about to let the niceties of the law prevent him from taking his revenge.
