Resurrection is based on the Japanese film Yomigaeri, which which grossed over $23.2 Million in Japan in 2003.
MPCA developed the project with Steven Spielberg and Stacey Snider at DreamWorks and writers Bill Nicholson (two-time Oscar nominee for Gladiator and Shadowlands), and subsequently Bruce Joel Rubin (Oscar winner for Ghost).
