When Calls the Heart has set both ratings and social media records for Hallmark Television, and has a strong following in the faith-based community.

MPCA’s original primetime series on, Hallmark Channel, When Calls the Heart, capped off a successful third season with the finale episode garnering a 2.6 HH rating and 3 million total viewers on a Live+3 basis, becoming the highest rated episode in the series’ history.  The Sunday, April 10th debut also became the series’ most-watched episode among all demographics. In its 9pm time period, the episode elevated Hallmark Channel to rank as the 2nd most-watched network on cable among HHs and Total Viewers.

Taking Chance was the most-watched original movie for HBO in five years, drawing over 2 million viewers in its premiere and more than 5.5 million during re-airings. It has set ratings records at each Memorial Day it is broadcast.

A Princess for Christmas with Sir Roger Moore was the highest-rated movie for the Hallmark Channel in 2011:

4.9 million unduplicated viewers tuned in for the original movie premiere of “A Princess for Christmas” on Saturday, December 3rd. The film delivered a 3.2 HH rating and ranked as the #1 program of the day on ad-supported cable, reinforcing the strength of Hallmark Channel’s most sought out programming during the holiday season. In addition, “A Princess for Christmas” was the #1 rated ad-supported cable movie of the week.

Hallmark Channel Cozies Up To 4.9 Million Viewers With “A Princess For Christmas”

A Royal Christmas was watched by 6.3 million people, surpassing earlier records to become the most viewed in Hallmark’s history for an original movie.

A Christmas Detour had the top cable network numbers in a five-night Thanksgiving Weekend Event 2015 on Hallmark Channel featured one original movie each night, with the top numbers on Saturday, according to Nielsen. The film  starring Candace Cameron Bure and Paul Greene, averaged a 0.67 rating in adults 18-49 and 4.778 million viewers overall. Among all scripted cable programs that week, it ranked 3rd behind AMC’s “The Walking Dead” (13.98 million) and “Into the Badlands” (5.17 million). Also faring well was Crown for Christmas on Friday (0.68 in 18-49, 4.29 million viewers overall).

Murder, She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery ranked among the top five highest rated original network movies that aired on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries during 2015 in Primetime. It brought in the second highest overall audience of any network original movie in 2015.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries continued to grow in double digits across all demographics. In second quarter 2015 the network was up 54% among households and 89% among 25 to 54 compared to the same period a year ago. The growth was primarily led by the success of character-driven movie mysteries such as Murder She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Cookie Mystery, the highest rated and most watched Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original movie premiere in network history with a 1.6 household rating and 1.1 million total viewers.
